John Byczek

Board Member

John is a financial advisor and District Director at Northwestern Mutual and has been with the company since 1998. His expertise includes leadership development, financial planning strategies for businesses and individuals, as well as estate planning. After serving in the US Army for 28 years (16 active and 12 reserve), he retired as an intelligence officer. John was deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom (2001-2002) and received the Bronze Star Medal for his service. Currently, he actively participates in various organizations such as the Tampa Bay CEO Council, Tampa FCA, and the Gold Shield Foundation. John has been happily married to his wife, Jene, who is also a retired US Army Officer, for 35 years. Together, they have two adult children and 6 grandchildren. John values his family and faith above all else and dedicates time to them whenever possible, while also being actively involved in his church community.

John graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government. He leverages his education to approach unique problems from a creative perspective. John values the education and experience gained during his time in the US Army, which he humorously remarks was almost as educational as raising twins!
